How to Take Deca Durabolin for Optimal Results

Deca Durabolin is one of the most common and popular anabolic steroids on the market. Often referred to simply as ‘Deca’, this is a powerful steroid that was originally intended to treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.

Today it is used quite differently and is very popular among bodybuilders and strength athletes who appreciate it for its ability to trigger increased muscle mass and strength.

How it Works and How to Use It

Deca is similar to Anadrol in that it primarily works by raising red blood cell count. This will then increase protein synthesis, which means that the muscles will be able to make more use of protein in order to grow.

At the same time, it is also very effective for increasing bone mass, strength and recovery. Increase red blood cell count helps to deliver more oxygen and glucose to the working muscle, as well as more nutrients during recovery.

So how do you use this for maximal results?

Only small doses are needed to see results. That can start at 100mg, going up to 200mg (which is average) and even much higher. Typically a cycle will last for 4-6 weeks.

A popular stack is to combine Deca with Dianabol and testosterone. The benefit of adding testosterone is that it can help to reduce some of the testosterone suppressing side effects. The reason that Dinabol is popular when stacked, is that it will work via androgen receptor sites – a different mechanism of action means you can potentially get double the effects.

But the problem is that the Deca and testosterone combo will also raise estrogen – already a concern with Deca – which may lead to water retention (bloating) and even gynecomastia (the formation of breasts). This was a very popular stack among ‘classic’ bodybuilders however during the 60s and 70s. It’s VERY important that following a stack such as this, you go on to use a PCT to try and ‘fix’ your hormone balance.

Risks and a Better Option

This stack and any Deca cycle come with significant risks. Deca has a huge impact on the hormones, in fact, it is actually effective as a contraceptive for women! This means that it can affect the body in a whole range of unwanted ways: including increased water retention and weight gain. At the same time, it can also inhibit testosterone to a particularly large extent. This can lead to impotence and ultimately require that users stay on HRT (hormone replacement therapy) indefinitely following a cycle.

These are only a few of the risks and with that in mind, it may be better for most people to instead consider using an alternative. One great option is Decaduro from Crazy Bulk. This supplement is devised using naturally occurring herbal extracts, vitamins, minerals and amino acids and its aim is to naturally ‘mimic’ the effects of Deca (enhancing protein synthesis) with none of the side effects. The ingredients are each proven in laboratory settings and in short, this is the closest ‘natural’ and healthy option there is.
