Trenbolone Acetate vs Enanthate – The Side Effects

Whatever way you cut it, Trenbolone is one of the most potent steroids on the market and one of the ‘go to’ choices for athletes wanting to quickly add muscle mass and size. There are plenty of reasons for this too. For starters, Trenbolone has five times the binding affinity of testosterone, meaning that it is five times more able to elicit anabolic results by affecting the androgen receptors.

At the same time, Trenbolone works through a number of other mechanisms too. It is able to increase protein synthesis for example, boost appetite and even suppress myostatin in order to prevent the breakdown of muscle. These effects all combine into one huge synergistic effect, which results in a massive increase in highly lean muscle.

But of course there are side effects too, big ones. The question may become: which is the safest way to use this most dangerous of steroids?

Introducing the Types of Trenbolone

There are essentially three different types of Trenbolone. These are:

  • Trenbolone acetate
  • Trenbolone enanthate
  • Parabolan

canstockphoto14814867Essentially, these all work in a similar manner but with minor differences. The difference is to do with the ‘ester’ used, an ester being an organic compound that can be used to carry the active components around the body.

This in turn affects the half-life and drastically changes the amount of time that the drug remains in the body. Trenbolone acetate has a much shorter half-life of about 48 hours, while Trenbolone enanthate has a half-life of about 5-7 days. Parabolan is more expensive but has the longest half-life at 14 days.

So what does this all mean?

Well, using a PED with a longer half-life can be considered a good thing when that drug needs to be injected. This is because it will allow you to get the full effects while only injecting a few times. If your cycle is 8 weeks and you’re using a version with a half-life of 14 days, then you only need to use 4 injections. This then means you’ll have fewer scars left and you’ll have to inject yourself fewer times.

Conversely though, it also means that any side effects you do notice are going to continue for 14 days. That’s a big commitment going forward and so it makes more sense for a beginner to use acetate instead.

Trenbolone Side Effects and How to Avoid Them

So what are those side effects? These include potential liver toxicity (which can be fatal), sweating, insomnia, impotence, hair loss, and acne – all the usual side effects associated with anabolic steroids.

The question we’re asking is what the different side effects are for the different types. The answer is that there really aren’t many, except that acetate is known to be the most likely to cause ‘Tren cough’. The reason for this is likely due to the benzyl molecules used as solvents during the creation of the tablets.

Otherwise, you’re looking at the same results for each type…
