Winstrol is one of the most powerful steroids for burning fat and developing lean muscle and in many ways it can be thought of as the ‘Swiss army knife of steroids’. That’s because Winstrol essentially provides two different benefits while at the same time protecting you from several of the side effects associated with other steroids.

What is Winstrol?
Winstrol is an anabolic steroid that is a derivative of DHT. DHT – dihydrotestosterone – is a much more potent form of testosterone that interestingly can’t be converted into oestrogen. This right away makes Winstrol a popular option for several reasons: not only is it highly effective but it also shouldn’t create the risk of gynecomastia or water retention.
What’s more though, is that Winstrol also increases the production of red blood cells through modulation of DHT. This, in turn, means you have access to more oxygen while you train which lets you work out harder and for longer and even burn more fat while you do. Better yet, this also means the muscles get more nutrients and oxygen during recovery, leading to heightened growth and better protein synthesis.
The Stack
Many bodybuilders will then seek to capitalize on these effects by using Clenbuterol and Anavar. Anavar is a derivative of dehydropiandrosterone, which is a substance very similar to DHT. This essentially allows you to double down on the benefits while still not risking water retention.
On top of this, Clenbuterol can then elevate the metabolism and heartrate by stimulating the beta-2-receptors in the brain. This makes Clenbuterol a powerful stimulant and essentially the ‘opposite’ of anxiolytic medication.
The Problems and Alternatives
Unfortunately though, these stacks are rife with problems.
For starters, these substances are all very hard on the liver and this can potentially cause fatal liver failure if you’re unlucky. On top of this, Anavar and Winstrol can both lower natural testosterone production leaving you completely dependent on testosterone injections for life. Combining Winstrol and Clenbuterol is also especially hard on the heart and could lead to heart failure.
